Fort Kochi

This charming old town by the sea is filled with old buildings of British, Dutch and Portuguese architecture. One could also notice the numerous Chinese fishing nets lining its shores. The Kochi Biennale art exhibition is held here every two years.

M.G. Road

The Central Business Hub of the city houses several corporates, showrooms, small businesses, malls and restaurants. The Marine Drive and Broadway shopping street is also in close proximity. It also has excellent road and rail connectivity to other parts of the city and state.

Willingdon Island

This large man-made island formed in 1936, houses the Cochin Harbour, Port Trust HQ, Southern Naval Command, numerous trading companies and luxury hotels. Various cruise liners also dock here.

Mattancherry

The streets of this old town is lined with numerous trading businesses, heritage hotels, spice shops etc. Mattancherry is also home to a Jewish synagogue (built 1568) and the Mattancherry Palace (built 1555).

Hill Palace

This archaeological museum was once the home to the Kochi Royal Family. The 54 acre complex features a heritage museum, deer park and botanical garden.

Backwaters of Kochi

The Kochi backwaters is a part of the Vembanad lake, the longest lake on the country. There are numerous cruises on customized houseboats extending to other cities like Alappuzha and Kottayam.
