Talk on Security for Start-ups & SMEs
Cyber insecurity is no longer just a buzzword, it has become a reality for Start-ups and SMEs. In this context, the World Trade Center Kochi jointly with the Kerala Start-up Mission is organizing a talk on Security for Start-ups & SMEs. When cyber-attacks came to the fore, the first port of call was to shore up cyber defence systems of the large and more well-known businesses. But now the threat has permeated to the smaller players, as their importance in the economic value chain has grown. While few Start-ups and SMEs, have embraced regular digital risk assessments, many of the more established SMEs have to do some catching up. Large companies today are insisting on equal cyber defence and data security norms from their vendors, majority of which are SMEs.
Mr. Sukiraman Manivannan and Mr. Jude Collins from the Technology Risk team at EY will speak on the subject. It will discuss the trends, common pitfalls, case studies and security best practices focused on Start-ups and medium sized companies.
