Seminar on GST e-Invoicing and New Returns

30th Nov -0001

The Goods and Services Tax (GST) law will complete the third year of its introduction in India, this July 2020. Two major changes are round the corner from 1st April 2020 - The new return formats and E-Invoicing. In this regard, the world trade Center along with HDFC Bank and the Indo American Chamber of Commerce is organizing a seminar on these recent changes in GST. Mr. K. R. Uday Bhaskar, Principal Commissioner, Central GST, Customs & Central Excise will be the chief guest at the programme. Mr. Kunal Wadhwa, Partner – Indirect Tax and Ms. Nisha Menon, Director – Indirect Tax, PwC will be handling sessions on new returns and e-Invoicing.

The GST Council has notified the phase-wise implementation of E-Invoicing starting with certain specified transactions for businesses having an annual average turnover exceeding ₹100 Crores. As a precursor to the above changes, the Government has already imposed restrictions on availing of GST Credits by recipients in cases where the details of credits are not reflected in the GSTR 2A of businesses. These changes are expected to trigger a huge shift in the way GST compliances are carried out and would also have a significant impact on the IT systems of organizations.

Who should attend:  CFOs, Tax Heads, Accounts, Tax and IT team.

This will be an opportunity for the attendees to clear their practical queries on new GST returns and E-invoicing.
