Talk on Continuous Control Monitoring

The World Trade Center Kochi in association with the Confederation of Indian Industry organized a talk on “Continuous Control Monitoring” on 21 st June 2018 at CII office. Mr Johar Batterywala, Partner & Mr David George, Sr. Manager-Deloitte India were the speakers. Continuous Control Monitoring refers to use of technologies and analytics to continuously monitor the financial transactions or internal controls which in turns provides actionable insights to the management. Mr Johar Batterywala gave an overview of the subject & also touched upon the challenges faced by companies and their employees during the audit process. Mr David George talked about the role of BOTs and how Robotic Process Automation (RPA) is applied for the processing of documents. The session was an opportunity for the participants to clarify the concerns with the subject experts. CCM is expected to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the audit process and most importantly will save time. A demo of the CCM Dash Board was also performed for a better understanding of the subject. The session was attended by participants representing various industries like - Exporters, Financial Institutions, Manufacturing and Processing industries, IT, Finance Consultants, Builders, Automobile Dealers etc.
