Launch of Integrated Startup Complex of KSUM

The Integrated Startup Complex of Kerala Startup Mission (KSUM) at Kerala Technology Innovation Zone was launched on 13th January, 2019. This is the largest of its kind in India and houses facilities like - Maker Village to promote hardware startups, BioNest which is a startup launched in association with Rajiv Gandhi Centre for Biotechnology to conduct research in the field of Biotechnology and allied fields, BRiC established in association with Cochin Cancer Research Centre with aim of conducting excessive research and innovation in Cancer fighting technology. The Integrated Complex was officially launched by the Hon’ble Chief Minister, Govt. of Kerala – Shri. Pinarayi Vijayan while the Hon’ble Minister of Health and Social Justice, Smt. K.K. Shailaja launched the BRiC facility. The Maker Village, which is Country's first electronic incubator, today has 65 startups operating out of it.It has also filed for more than 30 patents. The new facility will also be home to various Centers of Excellence in fields like, Computer Aided Engineering, Next Generation Communications, Augmented/Virtual Reality & Gaming etc. Know more http://innovationzone.in/.
