Interactive Session on Union Budget 2018-19: "Critical Analysis and Way Ahead for Indian Economy’’

The World Trade Center Kochi in association with Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) , Indian Institute of Management, Kozhikode (IIMK), ASA & Associates LLP  organised an Interactive Session on Union Budget 2018-19:    "Critical Analysis and Way Ahead for Indian Economy“  on 05 February 2018 at Hotel Abad Plaza, Kochi. The affiliated Chambers and Trade bodies of FICCI,  Indian Chamber of Commerce (ICCI), Kerala Merchants Chamber of Commerce (KMCC) and Cochin Special Economic Zone Industries Association (CEPZIA) were the Supporting Partners of the event. Dr. Abhilash S Nair, Chairperson, Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Kochi Campus  was the Key Note Speaker; Dr. V. K. Vijayakumar, Investment Strategist, Geojit Financial Services Ltd. delivered the Special Address on Union Budget with the perspective of Market & Investments; Mr K. Nithyananda Kamath, FCA, Partner, ASA & Associates, Kochi spoke on impact the budget has on Direct & Indirect Taxes; Mr D. N. Rajendrakumar, Sr.Regional Manager, Central Bank of India, Kochi made the opening remarks; Mr Rajesh Agarwal, President. Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry; Mr G. Karthikeyan, Vice President Kerala Merchants Chamber of Commerce and Industry spoke on behalf of the Traders; Mr K. K. Pillai, President, CSEZIA expressed views of EXIM community; Mr Savio Mathew, Head FICCI Kerala State Council delivered the welcome address; Mr Vivek George, Sr.Coordinator, WTC Kochi made the concluding remarks and proposed the vote of thanks. The event was attended by 100 plus from various Companies in and around Kochi. The programme also witnessed participation from Palakkad Chamber of Commerce and Thrissur Traders’ Association.
