02/07/2025 | Completed Event

The third episode of the WTC–BCIC Discovery Series offered a deep dive into building a business and life in the Netherlands — one of Europe’s most connected and entrepreneur-friendly countries.

Following the success of our earlier episodes on the UAE and Japan, this session continued our virtual journey to understand global business opportunities for Indian entrepreneurs and MSMEs.

Key takeaways from the session:

  • Ease of doing business – Legal setup, tax registration, and documentation processes are structured and seamless.
  • Language & culture – English is widely spoken, and the Dutch are known for their straightforward communication style.
  • Supportive networks – WTCs and the Netherlands Foreign Investment Agency (NFIA) offer soft landing programs, connecting entrepreneurs to local ecosystems.
  • High-potential sectors – Energy, cybersecurity, quantum, health and medical technology, and AI offer great opportunities for Indian businesses.
  • Quality of life – Great healthcare, efficient public transport system, multicultural food options, and a biking culture that keeps everyone moving.

With the Netherlands serving as a strategic gateway to the wider European market, this episode shared both the business and lifestyle aspects of setting up there.
