The World Trade Center, in collaboration with the National Institute of Personnel Management (NIPM) and Knowledge Partner BDO India LLP, organized a virtual session on 'Tax Effective Salary Structure for the Workforce.'

The webinar drew participation from over 700 professionals, particularly from HR, finance, and payroll domains.

The keynote address was delivered by Dr. M. H. Raja, National President, NIPM, who highlighted the relevance of this discussion in today’s dual tax regime environment.

Mr. Santhosh Sivaraj, Partner – Global Employer Services at BDO India LLP, led the main session and provided a detailed walkthrough of tax provisions related to salary. He explained key statutory benefits, exemptions, perquisites, and deductions under Chapter VI-A. He also shared practical insights into how employers can design tax-efficient salary structures that enhance compliance, improve cost efficiency, and align with employee satisfaction and retention goals.
