Discussion on Multi-Faceted Motherhood

WTC Kochi organized a session on "Multi-Faceted Motherhood" featuring Dr. Nirmala Padmanabhan, Dean of Extension and Incubation at St. Teresa’s College, in celebration of Mother's Day. The event was held at the Seminar Hall in WTC office.

Mr. Sitanshu Shekhar, Vice President - Operations (WTC - Facility) opened the session with his thoughts, setting the tone for a meaningful dialogue.

Dr. Nirmala emphasized the importance of moving beyond gender blindness and adopting a gender-neutral approach in workplaces—one that acknowledges the specific challenges of motherhood and supports women through flexible work arrangements, job sharing, and work-from-home options. She also highlighted the need for shared domestic responsibilities and supportive workplace policies such as crèches.

When women are truly given choices in their professional journey, motherhood becomes less of a limitation and more of a redefinition of strength and independence.

The session catered to the companies of WTC Kochi, with attendees including HR professionals and administrative staff.
